Otino Corsano

Otino Corsano is new genre artist conceptually linked to the Los Angeles art scene. He combines and reconstructs commercial media into art forms to produce new meanings. Between 2003-2005, Otino Corsano collaborated with Pete Smith on a number of significant exhibitions featuring a fusion of free abstraction and institutional critique, text-based work. Although a founding member of the Toronto Alliance of Art Critics, Corsano views himself as an “artist who writes” as his artist interviews are an extension of his neo-conceptual practice. His art writings and interviews are published in artUS magazine (LA), ARTPOST, Akimblog and his own blog. He has taught at the University of Toronto and is a Sessional Instructor at OCAD University.
